For the past five years, photographing weddings has been the primary focus of my energy, time, and attention. More and more frequently, through past wedding clients and referrals, I've been invited to photograph families, and I've fallen in love with family photography. I believe families are the foundation for everything good in life, and that is why I'm so excited to grow this side of my business alongside my wedding photography.
While I have photographed families in the past, it's been squeezed into nooks and crannies of my wedding season, with lots of heart, but not much for offerings. This year, I invested in a family photography workshop that gave me all the tools to change that and spent months planning how to improve this side of my business. I've completely changed the structure of my family sessions, and carved out time in my schedule just for families. Here's a look at what you can expect:
No one likes being in front of the camera. (Ok, almostttt no one.) The thought of picking out outfits with no direction, cleaning the entire house, and turning your family into one of those Instagram-perfect families on top of getting photographed is overwhelming. Spoiler alert- you won't have to do any of the above. Once you've booked, you'll receive all the information and direction you'll need to make this a dream. I am accessible for any questions you might have, and love talking through the planning with you.
An Online Marketplace
Who else is guilty of getting a great picture, and then doing nothing else with it besides posting it on social media? I want you to fall in love with your photos, and fill your life with them. Send prints to grandparents, hang them on your walls, create an heirloom quality album, or design a holiday card for your loved ones. Your gallery is linked directly to my online marketplace that offers all of these products and more.
I truly believe the value of investing in family photographs is immeasurable. Families grow and change so quickly. I promise you this- you will want to remember what today looks like 10, 20, or 50 years from now. You won't care if you look tired, or if there's a spot of food on your child's cheek, or if your pre-teen looks a little grumpy. You will want to remember today, and your family will too. While I believe the value of investing in memories is immeasurable, I know families finances are most likely not, so I've incorporated tiered pricing to make sessions more accessible. The collections range from a handful of digital files of your top favorite images, to the highest tier that includes all the edited digital files from your session in addition to a coffee-table book, and a percentage off your order through my online print marketplace.
Take a peek at my Instagram highlights for examples of recent family sessions, or scroll through the blog. I'm only accepting *eight* more family sessions through October, so if you like what you see and would like to book, email me today at email@example.com! I can't wait to make photos with you.
